(Photo by Mike Hensdill/The Gaston Gazette) A fund raising event for the Gaston County Special Olympics was held Saturday morning, March 16, 2013 at the Tailrace Marina on Tuckaseegee Road in Mount Holly. The event was the 1st annual Polar Plunge and hundreds of people attended and participated in the event.
